About Us
The Hudsonville Public Schools Transportation Department’s mission is to provide the safest and most efficient means of transporting your students to and from school.
Did you know the yellow bus is 27 times safer than an automobile when comparing modes of transportation to and from school?
We have a staff of over 60 professionally trained and certified school bus drivers who use the utmost care bringing your students to and from school each day. Our three certified professional mechanics maintain our fleet of 72 school buses with a commitment to safety and reliability. Our administrative and office staff strive to provide prompt and courteous services to all students with integrity and efficiency.
The dedicated Transportation Team at Hudsonville Public Schools provide safe and reliable daily service to over 3,700 students living across nearly 80 square miles. Annually, our fleet travels nearly 800,000 miles providing services to our school community. While maintaining the highest safety standards, we continue to strive for efficiency by finding better ways to route our buses in order to reduce mileage and time. As part of the services we provide we’re pleased and proud to provide transportation for a large number of academic and athletic trips and perform many other behind the scenes functions for the district. In addition, we maintain an excellent rating in the annual bus safety inspection conducted by the Michigan State Police.
