Mental Health Therapy
Mental health therapists are serving at Hudsonville Public Schools to promote student well-being, enhance family connections, coordinate community services, and provide support in crisis situations. Our primary objective is to promote students' self-awareness, grow self-regulation skills, and improve overall mental health.
Our services may include:
- Conducting individual therapeutic sessions for students facing barriers to accessing services from a clinician and experiencing mental health challenges
- Leading small group interventions based on identified needs determined by PBIS Tier II Teams or Child Study Teams
- Responding to emergency and crisis events as needed
- Facilitating community connections for individual students and families
- Partnering with and making referrals to community agencies when appropriate
