M-STEP/PSAT TESTING DATES - PLEASE READ 

Please keep in mind when you are making Orthodontist, Dentist or Doctor appointments for your child that our M-Step Testing Window is from 4/9 - 5/17.  Please avoid making appointments on your student’s testing dates.  It is important that students are in school during their M-Step Testing window.

Listed below are specific testing dates for 6th, 7th and 8th Grade:

6th Grade:

April 30 - 6th Grade ELA M-STEP in ELA class

May 1 - 6th Grade ELA M-STEP in ELA and social studies classes 

May 2 - 6th Grade ELA M-STEP in ELA class

May 7 - 6th Grade Math M-STEP in math class

May 8 - 6th Grade Math M-STEP in math and science classes 

May 9 - 6th Grade Math M-STEP in math class

7th Grade:

April 30 - 7th Grade ELA M-STEP ELA and social studies classes

INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE

Bring the world to your doorstep!  International Experience (iE-USA) is a non-profit high school student exchange organization, and we are seeking host families for the 2019-2020 school year.  Students provide their own spending money to cover personal, school, sports, and recreation expenses, their own health insurance, and a desire to become part of your family.  Host families provide a safe and caring home, three meals per day, local transportation, and a quiet place to study.  Would you consider learning about the opportunity to open your heart and home to an exchange student?  Please contact local coordinator Sarah Boucher at 517-331-3460 or [email protected]international-experience.net.  Sarah lives in Jenison and is close by to be of support throughout the entire exchange experience.  You can view available students to host at www.iE-USA.org.

In Need of Food?

Food resources are available in Ottawa County, and it’s now easier than ever to find those resources online. Residents can search for food pantries and community meals, either by date or location, at ottawafood.org/findfood.

WYLDLIFE CLUB ~ Riley Street Wyldlife is a ministry focusing specifically on the students that go to Riley Street Middle School. Wyldlife Club meets every Thursday from 7-8pm at Searchlight Ministries located at 4020 22nd, in Jamestown. At Wyldlife Club you will meet new friends, play games, and get a chance to hear a message from one of the leaders. No money is needed, just come ready for an awesome night hanging out with friends.
