At the March 23 Board of Education work session meeting, there will be a Public Hearing for the Sex Education Advisory Board Recommendation. The recommendation of the committee is to add one student test question related to online safety and an additional question, relating to technology, added to a family worksheet for the 7th-grade health materials. The recommended updates will be made available for public review prior to the Board of Education meeting at the administrative offices (3886 Van Buren Street). The presentation will begin at 5:45 p.m.
Public comment will be accepted during this review portion of the board meeting, which begins at 6:00 p.m. No pre-registration is required to provide comments.
A second public hearing and time for comment on this recommendation will take place at the regular board of education meeting on April 16, after which it will be formally presented to the board for approval consideration.
