School Psychologists
What we do: A school psychologist in HPS supports students’ academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development to help them succeed in school. They conduct Special Education evaluations to identify learning, behavioral, and mental health needs and assist teams in determining students’ eligibility for Special Education services. They collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to develop appropriate interventions and support plans. School psychologists also provide consultation, crisis response, and prevention services to promote a safe and positive learning environment. Their work helps ensure that all students have access to the resources and support needed to reach their full potential.
