At the November 12, 2026, Board of Education work session meeting, there will be a Public Hearing for the Sex Education Advisory Board Recommendation. The recommendation of the committee is to add 9th-grade Health class lessons on dating violence and healthy relationships, sexting, and human trafficking. The recommended updates will be made available for public review prior to the Board of Education meeting at the administrative offices (3886 Van Buren Street). The presentation will begin at 4:00 p.m.
Public comment will be accepted during this review portion of the board meeting, which begins at 5:00 p.m. No pre-registration is required to provide comments.
A second public hearing and time for comment on this recommendation will take place at the work session of the Board of Education on November 23, 2026.
