Schools-of-Choice

For the 2024-2025 school year, Hudsonville Public Schools is accepting Schools-of-Choice applications for grades PK-5th under Section 105 for residents of Ottawa Area ISD, and under Section 105c for residents of Allegan, Kent, or Muskegon ISDs. Acceptance is determined based on student eligibility.

Parents can apply by completing and returning the application to Hudsonville Public Schools Administrative Offices between January 8, 2024, through August 19, 2024. If a building preference was noted on the application, the district will attempt to honor that preference; however, building preference cannot be guaranteed. Parents will be notified of the non-resident student’s acceptance into the District by the first week of June. Final building placement may be delayed until early August based on enrollment.

Important considerations for parents and students applying for Schools-of-Choice:

  1. Transportation is not provided for Schools-of-Choice enrollees. Parents must provide their own transportation to and from school for children accepted for enrollment.

  2. Applications may be denied if a student has been suspended from another school district within the preceding 2 years, expelled from another school district at any time before enrolling, or convicted of a felony at any time before enrolling.

  3. All rules of the Michigan H.S.A.A. apply to all transfer students.
