Never Forgotten Game ~ to support the Wes Leonard Heart Team

Wes Leonard Never Forgotten Game

On Friday, January 21, 2022, Hudsonville High School will be hosting their 4th Annual Never Forgotten basketball game against their OK Red conference rivals, the Grandville Bulldogs. This game is put on to support the Wes Leonard Heart Team and raise money to place AEDs in schools across West Michigan.

The Wes Leonard Heart Team is a charitable organization that is “committed to honoring the children who have lost their lives to Sudden Cardiac Arrest and preventing other families and friends from feeling the pain of losing their loved ones.” The Wes Leonard Heart Team’s primary goal is to raise funds to place AEDs in schools over Michigan that are guaranteed to save lives to those that need them.

Hudsonville High School’s Assistant Athletic Director, and girls basketball coach, Casey Glass, commented on what this event means to Hudsonville, saying, “This event is a great opportunity to help promote an organization that saves lives year by year. It takes Wes Leonard’s legacy that he left and carries that on throughout schools in West Michigan and beyond.”

This event begins at 6:00 pm with the boys game, followed by the girls basketball game right after (estimated tip-off at 7:30 pm). There will be raffle items during halftimes of both games, and all proceeds will go to the Wes Leonard Heart Team.
