HPS Early Childhood Programs

Preschool registration forms are now available for the 2018-19 school year.


Hudsonville Public Schools offers a play-based kindergarten readiness preschool curriculum that teaches positive self-concepts, social, physical, intellectual and emotional development, language skills, and self-expression through large and small group learning. Students engage daily in centers, circle time, reading and writing, math, and arts and crafts. The state-approved Creative Curriculum theme-based approach, along with Handwriting Without Tears and Zoo Phonics, allows Hudsonville Public Schools to meet Michigan Early Childhood Standards of Quality. All Hudsonville Public Schools Early Childhood Programs incorporate:

These programs are used as a blueprint for planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate, research-based curriculum which provides a solid foundation for learning through social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

Summer Childcare

Hudsonville Public Schools offers a summer program for children ages three through fifth grade. This theme-based, structured learning environment will include fun summer activities and community visitors, while encouraging exploration and discovery.
