Christina Toppen

I'm thrilled to spend my 12th year in education at Baldwin Street Middle School. I was born to teach history AND middle schoolers, and I can't think of a better place to do it! This is my ninth year teaching at BMS. Previously, I taught in Muskegon Public Schools. I have also worked in sales and management in the manufacturing industry and have a Master’s Degree in Education from Aquinas College. My husband, Jon, is also in the education field. We have two daughters: Heather is a kindergarten teacher at Pine Creek Elementary in West Ottawa, and Shelby is exploring opportunities in marketing and social media in California. I have 2 cats who are both rescues - but students assure me that I'm not a "crazy cat lady" yet... My favorite thing about Hudsonville is the amazing families. I've been so blessed to be entrusted with so many of your children. I really do love to read (not just saying that because I'm a teacher). I also knit and spend as much time as I can on the beach at Lake Michigan, which is 1 short mile from our Grand Haven home. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to me.
